IOIA Dahanu Branch Clinches 2nd Prize in Junior Bharatanatyam Group Category at ABSS National Championship

Dahanu | June 2025 — The Institute of Indian Arts (IOIA) continues to shine on national platforms, as the Junior Bharatanatyam Group from the Dahanu Branch proudly secured the 2nd Prize at the ABSS National Dance Championship, one of India’s most prestigious cultural competitions. The event witnessed over 7,000 participants from 22+ states, making this victory a significant milestone for the young dancers and their mentors.

The talented team members—Honey Patel, Purva Rathod, Manva Raut, Vedashree Bedekar, Tanishka Ambure, Kanack Tillwani, Aaradhya Gondiya, and Saee Deshmukh—delivered an elegant, synchronized, and emotionally rich Bharatanatyam group performance that earned them national recognition and thunderous applause from the audience.

Their success is a direct reflection of the relentless dedication, training, and vision of IOIA’s founders, Pragnya Ma’am and Tej Sir, whose efforts continue to uplift and empower young artists across all IOIA branches.

“This award reflects the power of teamwork, discipline, and classical devotion. Our students have shown what consistent hard work can lead to,” said Tej Sir, speaking on behalf of the IOIA faculty. Pragnya Ma’am also praised the team’s unity and commitment, crediting their shared passion as the driving force behind their stunning performance.

The IOIA Dahanu Branch has once again proven that with the right guidance and cultural grounding, students from smaller towns can make a national impact through the timeless beauty of Bharatanatyam.

With yet another feather in IOIA’s cap, this victory stands as a proud moment for Dahanu, the institute, and the future of Indian classical dance.
