Our Lady Of Pillar Convent School, Propels Rajasthan Into a New Era of Experiential Learning

JODHPUR, RAJASTHAN — July 31, 2026 — In a landmark moment for 21st-century education, Our Lady of Pillar Convent School hosted the five-day DaVinci SoccerBot Championship (DSC) 2026, culminating in a dramatic victory for team Robo Knights. The championship showcased the power of experiential learning, bringing together thousands of students, educators, and tech enthusiasts to witness student-engineered robots compete in a high-stakes arena.

​In a nail-biting 5–4 penalty shootout against The Nova Strikers, Robo Knights secured the coveted championship title. Designed, wired, and programmed entirely from scratch by schoolchildren, the competing bots demonstrated remarkable precision, agility, and tactical coding.

Fourteen elite teams from top regional institutions, including St. Anthony’s Convent School, St. Paul’s School, Sainik School, Sardar Doon School, and Neerja Modi School, competed in the tournament, setting a new benchmark for practical technology integration in regional schools.

​​The event served as a real-world demonstration of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for hands-on, multidisciplinary, and problem-solving-based learning.

​Through a strategic four-year partnership with International STEAM Research (ISR) USA, Our Lady of Pillar Convent School has established an advanced ISR AI-STEAM Lab. For three months leading up to the tournament, participating students engaged in rigorous hands-on engineering, building chassis, calibrating sensors, wiring circuits, and scripting custom algorithms.
